Possibly one of the most sequentially confusing movie franchises today, Transformers is a series of movies based on another franchise of the same name that occurred in the ’80s. These movies are about a bunch of robots that can turn into vehicles at will and stem from another planet. Not only that, they are involved in a war with even more robots that can turn into flying vehicles while the good robots cannot for no reason.

Entertainment. The Transformers franchise is very beloved and known across the world, though there are some fans that love specific characters more than the movies themselves. For example, Bumblebee. Bumblebee is a rather small Autobot that can only talk through a radio as his voice was taken during the war. For some reason, this little Autobot as they call themselves, captured the hearts of many. So, it was with great excitement that the movie ‘Bumblebee’ was announced to come out in December of 2018.Image result for bumblebee 2018

Keep in mind that I am one of the many that love Bumblebee as a character and will thus be biased, but I must say ‘Bumblebee’ was fantastic, though it did have its odd moments. Many fans have been curious about Bumblebee’s backstory and have finally been given an answer. It seems Bumblebee landed on Earth in 1987 and lost his voice with a fight with a Decepticon. This makes sense and is logical except for one thing. The Decepticons, the evil robots, could transform into multiple vehicles. Now, I may be nitpicking, but in the Transformers series there are a few rules:

  1. Bumblebee must be yellow and black
  2. Transformers can only have one form

Overall, however, ‘Bumblebee’ was a rather good movie with decent special effects and a pleasant story. I applaud the actors for being able to act with what must have either been a lot of green-screen or empty space. ‘Bumblebee’ was an interesting movie: it was funny, it was dramatic, it was exciting. For that, I give it a thumbs up. So, it is with great pleasure that I recommend ‘Bumblebee’ to any transformers fan or otherwise that needs a movie to watch.
