The story for the Philadelphia Eagles in the preseason was one of mediocre variety but following a 34-27 victory against the almost unstoppable Green Bay Packers they might just make themselves known this year. Carson Wentz (QB for Philadelphia) threw for 160 yards and managed to tag on 3 passing touchdowns against the Packers defensive secondary. Aaron Rodgers had an amazing game with 422 total yards and 2 touchdowns on top of that with 46 yards being rushing from the veteran. The story of this game was the defense or in Green Bay’s case the lack thereof, Wentz found the endzone whenever he wanted almost by tiring out the backfield with short passes over the middle followed by deeper passes. Late in the fourth quarter was a scary sight to say in the least following a big hit from a Philadelphia player in the backfield on a fellow Eagle. Training staff says that Maddox does have movement now and was even making jokes while being carted off the field late in the fourth quarter. The Eagles surpassed the Packers late in the fourth after the backup Cornerback took the field and intercepted a pass from Aaron Rodgers in the endzone, securing a win for the Philadelphia Eagles.
