As the Coronavirus continues to spread in North America all major sporting events are either canceled or postponed to a later date. However, this weekend’s Nascar race held at Atlanta Motor Speedway will be held but without fans. Wednesday evening it was announced that Rudy Gobert of the Utah Jazz tested positive for the Coronavirus. The following day Gobert’s teammate, Donovan Mitchell, also tested positive for the virus. After the Jazz’s loss to the Toronto Raptors, Gobert had a press conference after the game. After the press conference, Gobert went around and touched all of the microphones around as a joke and to “mock” the virus. The NCAA has canceled all winter and spring championships. Events like March Madness and the College World Series are also canceled. Major League Baseball has suspended all operations for at least the next four weeks. Most NFL teams have pulled members of the coaching staff along with scouts from visiting colleges pro days held for upcoming draft prospects. The NFL is still planning to hold the draft in Las Vegas between April 23-25.
