Because of the outbreak of the coronavirus, the NBA has suspended the season due to the fact that Jazz center Rudy Godbert has tested positive for the coronavirus. If you don’t know, a few days ago, President Donald Trump deemed the coronavirus as a global pandemic, Which means that the virus is now a danger to the health of everybody around the globe.

Jazz is currently being cared for by health officials in Oklahoma City. During a game with the new Orleans Pelicans vs. Sacramento Kings in California, a referee called the game off due to the fact that he was previously in the game with Jazz. The team said, “The individual’s symptoms diminished over the course of today, however, in a precautionary measure, and consultation and cooperation with NBA medical staff and Oklahoma health officials, the decision was made to test for COVID-19”.

This virus has caused the NBA to decide whether to allow fans to watch the games in person. Thursday night, before the NBA suspended the season, the Golden State Warriors announced that in San Francisco, against the Brooklyn Nets, they would play the game without fans. This is the first time in the history of the NBA where there might be games played without fans.
