There are a few reasons you should learn wrestling before competing in no gi. First, you primarily wear a gi in jujitsu, but if you take it off, you lose half your arsenal. Second, wrestling will teach you to control and use pressure on your opponent in a unique way while putting you in even better shape. Additionally, it will give you extensive grips and explosive prowess. While learning them in competition, you will have the slight advantage of knowing how to control your opponent with your weight in order to pin and go for the submission. Finally, take-downs and a take-down defense is heavily emphasized in wrestling and teaches you to shoot for take-downs that some BJJ practitioners cannot execute.
