Coming off a 3 game losing streak, the Wolverines came into Bulldog territory with something to prove, and they did.

The whole week the Wolverines prepared for a tough game against the 3-0 Fayetteville Bulldogs. The past few games haven’t been all that great for the Wolverines. Against Bryant, West played pretty well only being down by 7 points, (17-10). The couple weeks before, the Offense and Defense had some major hiccups. However, this game was drastically different.

At the beginning of the game, West chose to differ, to receive the ball at the second half. Enter the defense. This game, the Defensive play was phenomenal with two interceptions, one of which was a pick 6 by Tucker Swoboda. Two caused fumbles and there were three fumble recoveries. Vanderbilt commit Kendal Young had 2 sacks against the Bulldogs. Overall, it was a great game for the defensive side, showing all of the 7A that the West Wolverines are not to be taken lightly.

The offense had a good game too. West had 3 offensive touchdowns. Swoboda also had 1 reception for 39 yards. Ole Miss commit Jadon Jackson had 6 receptions for 69 yards and one touchdown. Tyrese Smallwood had 16 carries for 59 yards and 3 receptions for 8 yards. The offense had 0 fumbles but had to punt it on 8 different occasions. Overall, the offense shows that despite losing big time seniors and having a young offensive line, West can still put up some good points.

This game was a big win for the Wolverines, but now they have to worry about Springdale: A good team with talented players. This game will be another close game, but I do predict a West win.
